Football: Ten Tigers named to College Sports Madness Preseason All-Conference Team

JACKSON, Miss. – College Sports Madness has picked the top football players in the Southwestern Athletic Conference and has named ten Jackson State University players to its annual preseason All-SWAC team.

Sophomore linebacker Javancy Jones, the reigning SWAC Freshman of the Year, and sophomore wide receiver/punt returner Canard Brown were the Tigers named as first team members. Brown was listed as a punt returner.

Senior wide receiver Tobias Singleton, senior offensive lineman Jonathan Smith, senior linebacker Ariane McCree, senior linebacker Ryan Griffin and senior defensive back Antonio Sutton all make up the second team.

Senior running back Rakeem Sims, junior place kicker Ryan Deising, junior linebacker Tedderick Terrell and sophomore punter Darcy Williamson were selected as third team members.

College Sports Madness will release its Madness FCS Football Preseason All-American Teams over the next few days.
