Former Jackson State football All-Americans Casey Therriault and Joseph LeBeau have reunited on the gridiron in Braunschweig, Germany to play for the New Yorker Lions in the German Football League. Despite being over 4,000 miles from Jackson, the two Tigers have continued their winning ways on the field. Through the first five games of the season the Lions have a 4-1 record, winning their last game 37-0 against Kiel Baltic Hurricanes.

Therriualt (QB), who was named the 2010 SWAC Newcomer of the Year, passed for 185 yards and three touchdowns en route to the victory against the Hurricanes. He also ran for 71 yards. Last season Therriualt led the Lions to the German Football League title and was named the German Bowl MVP and the GFL Player of the Year.

LeBeau (LB), the 2011 SWAC Newcomer of the Year, finished with three tackles, a sack and two tackles for loss. He is in his first year with the Lions. Therriualt and LeBeau were previously teammates in 2011 at JSU. The duo helped lead the Tigers to a 9-2 overall record.
