TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Jackson State women’s tennis team fell 4-0 to the Alabama Crimson Tide in the first round of the NCAA Women’s Tennis Championship on Friday at the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Tennis Facility.

The Lady Tigers put up a fight against the No. 2 seeded Crimson Tide, but were swept in doubles action. Alabama took three singles matches.

5.       Emily Zabor (UA) def. Julia Angermann (JSU) 6-1, 6-1

6.       Luicelena Perez (UA) v. Kesica Jayapalan (JSU) 6-1, 5-0, unfinished


1.       Jensen/Routliffe (UA) def. Condorelli/Anath (JSU) 8-0

2.       Daines/Spielmann (UA) v. Zviahintseva/Angermann (JSU) 7-2, unfinished
