Tigers and Lady Tigers Receive All-Conference Honors

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Southwestern Athletic Conference named ten Tigers and Lady Tigers to the 2014 All-Conference Tennis teams on Thursday morning.

Senior Jose Luque and sophomore teammate Camilo Patino were tabbed with first team All-SWAC honors in singles for the Tigers.

The Lady Tigers had senior Kesica Jayapalan and sophomore teammate Julie Angermann named to the All-SWAC first team in singles; while Jayapalan and Reddy made first team All-SWAC and Angermann and Anastasiia Zviahintseva were named to the All-Conference second team in doubles.

The men's team enters tournament play as the fourth seed and will face sixth seeded Arkansas-Pine Bluff in the first round on Friday, April 25 at 1 p.m.; while the women's team enters the tournament as the number one seed and has drawn a bye through the first round.

The conference tournament will be held at the City Park Tennis Center in New Orleans, La.
