GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Jackson State women’s track and field team gave a great performance at the Florida Relays hosted by the University of Florida in Gainesville on April 4 through 5.
The Lady Tigers were able to break season personal records in three events; the Sprint Medley, the 4x100, and the 4x200.
The Sprint Medley was completed in 4:08.00 with Ravontranice Gage leading off in the 200m, she then passed to Shannon Parker for the second 200m, the 400m was completed by A’Kendra Lewis, and Krissle Nicome finished the event off with a 800m.
The 4x100m relay team of Brionna Harrison, Tola Balogun, Ravontranice Gage, and Quatasia Fantroy finished with a time of 47.19.
The 4x200m was completed in 1.40.78 and that team was made up of Brionna Harrison, Cameia Alexander, Ravontranice Gage, and Tola Balogun.
The Lady Tigers also performed well in the 4x400m relay which the completed in 3:51.48. This team consisted of Aniecia Brewster, A’Kendra Lewis, Brionna Harrison, and Quatasia Fantroy.
The Lady Tigers will be back in action on Friday, April 11 when they travel to Bowling Green, Ky. to compete in the Hilltopper Relays.
