JACKSON, Miss. - The Jackson State University softball team swept Alabama A&M University Saturday afternoon completing the three-game series and holding an eight-game win-streak at the JSU Softball Complex.

With the sweep, the Lady Tigers improve to 20-23 overall and 11-0 in conference play.

JSU blanked the Lady Bulldogs(9-26, 1-7) the entire weekend. 

Game 1: Jackson State struggled at the plate but was able to collect two runs in the bottom of the third inning. Freshman Denisha Knight led the Lady Tigers, going 2-for-2 at the plate. 

Junior Kelsey Townsend captured the victory for JSU, improving to 9-13 on the season.

Game 2: The Lady Tigers rallied to score five runs in the bottom of the third inning over AAMU, after recording two early runs in the first, taking a 7-0 lead. 

Jackson State added two runs in the fourth inning, capping a 9-0 ballgame over Alabama A&M. Freshman Sybil Lozano catured the win, giving up only one hit to the Lady Bulldogs.
