Lady Tigers Ready for Memphis Invitational

JACKSON, Miss.- The Jackson State women’s track and field team will travel to Memphis, Tenn. on Saturday, March 29 to compete in the Memphis Invitational hosted by the University of Memphis.

The Lady Tigers will have the opportunity to show their skills in field events such as javelin, long jump, pole vault, hammer, high jump, discus, and shot put and in track events such as 100m dash, 100/110m hurdles, 4x100m relay, 400m dash, 800m run, 200m dash, 3000m run, and the 4x400m relay.

Lady Tigers to look out for are Krissle Nicome who has been a key contender in distance events, Aniecia Brewster, Sharonda Bryant, Queen Briggs, and Hannah Porter who have competed well in field events.

The first event is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. at the Murphy Sports Complex located on the campus of the University of Memphis.
