JACKSON, Miss.- The Jackson State women’s bowling team are headed to Arlington, Tex. to compete in the Southwestern Athletic Conference Bowling Championship from March 21-23 at the Bowling International Training and Research Center.

The last time the JSU faced all SWAC competition was at the SWAC East Round-up and the Lady Tigers were able to finish at fourth place.

This weekend, the Lady Tigers hope to capitalize on their momentum received from recent competition and bring back the SWAC Championship.

Key players for the Lady Tigers are Dyanna Scott and Alonna Tipton who ranked fourth and fifth at the SWAC East Round-up and Laura Uzzell who is ranked second among SWAC freshman bowlers.

“I definitely believe that we are ready,” said head coach Michael Boykins. “With the right mindset, we can overcome any competition.”
