The brackets for the 2014 Toyota Southwestern Athletic Conference Basketball Tournament are now set and the Jackson State Tigers look to win their sixth conference championship and put on their dancing shoes in late March during the NCAA Tournament. The 2014 SWAC Tournament will be held at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

The Tigers (11-19, 7-11 SWAC) concluded their regular season by winning four of the last 10 games. JSU is the No. 7 seed in the tournament and will face No. 10 Grambling State on Tuesday, March 11, at 12:30 p.m. Over the last 10 games, JSU picked up wins against Alcorn State, Texas Southern, Grambling and Mississippi Valley State.

The 2014 SWAC tournament marks the first time that the Tigers have entered the tournament in the lower half of the bracket since 2011-12 when JSU was the eighth seed. That season JSU fell to No. 1 seed Mississippi Valley State 63-60 in the quarterfinal round.

JSU has not played in the title game since the 2008-09 season when the Tigers fell 65-58 to Alabama State. The Tigers last won the SWAC Championship during the 2006-07 season.

No. 10 - Grambling St. (4-23, 3-15 SWAC): Jan. 24 - JSU won 76-59 (J. Nobles 15 points, 7 assists, B. West 9 rebounds); Feb. 22 - JSU won 79-59 (J. Brent 23 points, J. Middleton 8 rebounds, J. Nobles 5 assists)

No. 9 - Mississippi Valley State (9-22, 5-13 SWAC): Feb. 1 - JSU lost 69-66 (B. West 14 points, D. Taylor 6 rebounds, J. Nobles 4 assists), March 1 - JSU won 82-64 (B. West 14 points, 9 rebounds, J. Nobles 7 assists)

No. 8 - Prairie View A&M (8-22, 6-12 SWAC): Jan. 18 - JSU lost 85-80 (B. West 18 points, 11 rebounds, J. Stubbs 5 assists), Feb. 15 - JSU lost 53-50 (D. Taylor 14 points, T. Bolden 12 rebounds, J. Nobles 2 assists)

No. 6 - Alcorn State (12-18, 9-9 SWAC): Jan. 11 - JSU lost 64-51 (D. Taylor 9 points, B. West 11 rebounds, J. Nobles 2 assists), Feb. 8 - JSU won 71-61 (B. West 18 points, T. Bolden 11 rebounds, J. Nobles 6 assists)

No. 5 - Alabama A&M (13-15, 10-8 SWAC): Jan. 4 - JSU lost 68-61 (B. West 19 points and 9 rebounds), Mar. 6 - JSU lost 72-59 (T. Bolden 13 points & 11 rebouds)

No. 4 - Ark. Pine Bluff (13-17, 11-7): Feb. 3 - JSU lost 70-69 (B. West 17 points, 4 assists, J. Nobles 14 rebounds), March 3 - JSU lost  66-59 (J. Nobles 16 points, J. Middleton 5 rebounds, J. Stubbs 4 assists)

No. 3 - Texas Southern (16-14, 12-6 SWAC): Jan. 20 - JSU won 84-80 (B. West 19 points, 12 rebounds, J. Nobles 9 assists), Feb. 17 - JSU won 75-73 (J. Nobles 21 points, D. Taylor 8 rebounds, J. Stubbs 3 assists)

No. 2 - Alabama State (18-11, 12-6 SWAC): Jan. 6 - JSU won 70-68 (J. Nobles 20 points, 6 assists, B. West 10 rebounds), March 8 - (J. Nobles 20 points, 4 assists, D. Taylor 8 rebounds)
