NATCHITOCHES, La. - The Jackson State University Women's basketball team was overpowered by Northwestern State University 71-52 Monday evening at Prather Coliseum.

With the loss, JSU falls to 1-6 on the season.

Junior forward Ayanna Hardy-Fuller led the way for the Lady Tigers, scoring 12 points and grabbing seven rebounds. Junior guard Dominique Brothern added 12 points on six-for-12 shooting from the field.

Trudy Armstead paced NSU with 20 points and added seven rebounds; while Keisha Lee tallied 19 points and led her team on the boards, grabbing eight. 

The Lady Tigers will return to action Thursday, Dec. 5 at the Lee E. Williams Athletic & Assembly Center when they play host to the University of New Orleans beginning at 7 p.m.
