WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Jackson State University Women's basketball team fell 83-63 to Howard University at Burr Gymnasium Monday evening.
With the loss, the Lady Tigers fall to 0-2 on the season. JSU had four scorers in double-figures. Junior guard Alisa Ross led the way with 13 points. Junior guard Dominique Brothern recorded 12 points; while juniors Ayanna Hardy-Fuller and Ke'ra St. John added 10 in the defeat.
St. John led the Lady Tigers in rebounds with eight.
HU's Te'Shya Heslip led all scorers with 27 points; while Jasmine Hill tallied 13 points and Cabria Johnson added 10 to round out the double-digit scoring for the Bison.
Jackson State will continue its four-game road trip in Starkville, Miss. on Wednesday, Nov. 13 when they take on instate rival and non-conference foe, Mississippi State University at Humphrey Coliseum. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m.
