GRAMBLING, La.- After defeating Grambling State University in Jackson, Miss. on last Friday evening, the Jackson State University volleyball team swept GSU (25-18, 25-22, and 25-18) at the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center on Wednesday evening.

The Lady Tigers (6-16 overall, 2-2 SWAC) took the first set in rare form from Grambling, defeating the GSU Tigers by a deficit of 25-18. JSU registered 13 kills in the set; while hitting 63 percent in the set.

The second set encountered the same outcome in kills, but didn't come easy as Grambling recorded 22 points in a 25-22 loss to JSU. The Lady Tigers then overwhelmed GSU 25-18 in the final set. 

Sophomore middle blocker Mikayla Rolle led the attack for Jackson State, recording 14 kills on the evening. Senior setter Angelica Kelley added to her assist total, tallying 12; while sophomore setter Jenna Siddiqui led the way with 16.

Senior defensive specialist Briana Hopkins led the defensive charge with 16 digs.
