Volleyball Prepared to Host Grambling Friday Evening

After challenging Mississippi Valley State Wednesday evening, the Jackson State University volleyball team (4-16 overall, 2-2 SWAC) is set to host Grambling State University Friday, Oct. 18 at 6 p.m. in the T.B. Ellis Gymnasium.

GSU was swept by Southern University (25-10, 25-15, 25-17) Wednesday night in Baton Rouge and is now ranked last in the Southwestern Athletic Conference Western division, while the Lady Tigers ranks third in the SWAC Eastern division standings.

As a team, JSU ranks second in the conference in blocks with an average of 1.93 per set and ranks third in the conference digs with an average of 11.54 per set.

Sophomore setter Jenna Siddiqui sets third in the conference ranks in assists average with 6.75 per set; while sophomore teammate and middle blocker Mikayla Rolle ranks second in the conference in blocking average with 0.93 per set
