JACKSON- The Jackson State Lady Tigers soccer team took on the Lady Crusaders of William Carey  Saturday in an exhibition match. The game was played in three 30 minute segments in which neither team scored.

“Although we didn’t win the game, I’m feeling pretty positive about the result,” said head coach Dean Joseph. “We were able to play some of our younger players and see what we need to improve in.”

Alex Goutier, junior and one of the predicted standouts of the season said “I think it went pretty well and it was a good out come.” She felt that the team worked really well cohesively and that the newcomers really stepped up.
The Lady Tigers will play their first game of the regular season against Southeastern Louisiana in Hammond, LA on Aug. 23 at 7 pm.
