JSU trailed most of the second game, with the contest going 13 innings before the Tigers put the Rattlers away. FAMU held a 7-2 advantage after three innings. JSU slowly began to climb back into the game. The Tigers cut the lead to 7-3 after scoring a run in the fourth. JSU added another three runs in the seventh and tied the game at 7-7 after scoring a run in the ninth. Neither team could muster much offense until JSU scored the game winning run in the 13th inning.
