ALEXANDRIA, La. – The Jackson State men’s golf team will enter the final round of the 2013 Southwestern Athletic Conference men’s golf championships with an eight stroke deficit to the Alabama State Hornets.

JSU fired a 596 (300, 296) on the second day of the tournament. The Hornets shot 588 (278, 310). The Tigers and the Hornets dominate the individual standings. ASU’s Branson Ferrier currently leads the field with a 145 (69, 76), but JSU’s Kyle Bodenstein and Josh McCormick trail by one stroke (146).

The final round of the SWAC Championship resumes Wednesday morning.
