NEW ORLEANS – Anaso Jobodwana defended his titles in the 100 meter dash and the 200 meter dash, finishing with times of 10.41 and 20.89 respectively. Other JSU first place finishes include: Sharonda Bryant winning the discus (43.27 meters) and the men’s 4x400 meter relay team (Antoine Guice, Jamie McIntosh, Jeremy Wilson and Tamarick Johnson) (3:10.29).

JSU finished sixth in the women’s team standings and seventh in the men’s team standings.

In women’s action Cliffaniqua Towbridge finished fifth in the discus (40.00 meters). The women’s 4x100 meter relay team (Akila Craig, Shannon Parker, Cameia Alexander and Munirat Balogun) came in fourth place with a time of 46.66. The Lady Tigers 4x400 meter relay team (Munirat Balogun, Shannon Parker, Cameia Alexander and A’Kendra Lewis) finished sixth with a time of 3:55.47.

Krissle Nicome finished third in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:16.26 and fourth in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:52.74. D’Andrea Eashmond and Sabrina Welch finished 14th and 17th respectively.

Akila Craig finished second in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.01. Briana Brown came in seventh place in the 100 meter hurdles (14.26). Evan Thomas placed fifth in the 400 meter hurdles (1:03.36).

In men’s action, Kenneth Hoskins came in third place in the high jump (1.94 meters). Deshaun Allen finished seventh in the discus (40.14 meters) and Hakeem Belle came in seventh place in the triple jump (2.7 meters). Ibrahim Hinds placed second in the 1500 meter run (4:14.96).

Jamie McIntosh and Jeremy Wilson finished sixth and seventh respectively, in the 400 meter dash. BJ Lee finished third in the 100 meter dash (10.53) and Richard Kelly came in sixth in both the 100 and 200.
