JACKSON, Miss. - The Jackson State baseball team will returns to action this weekend, when the Tigers host the Alabama A&M Bulldogs in a Southwestern Athletic Conference three game series at Braddy Field Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7. 

The Tigers (15-15) will look to remain at the top of the SWAC East standings, along with Alabama State, with a 9-3 conference record. JSU looks to snap a two game losing streak, falling to UT Pan American and New Orleans. The Tigers are led by Bryce Taylor, Charles Tillery and Ethan Bright offensively. Taylor has a .321 batting average and has eight doubles. Tillery has a .311 batting average with a home run. Bright has a .289 batting average with a team high 11 doubles and two home runs. 

Vincent Anthonia (4-2) has the best record for the Tigers. In 41 innings of work he has recorded 22 strikeouts. Brandon Gregory (4-3) has also pitched 41 innings and has 20 strikeouts this season.

AAMU (3-24, 1-8 SWAC) is ranked fourth in the SWAC East. Austin Hulsey leads the Bulldogs offense, with a .330 batting average and eight doubles. Josh Feeman is the best of the Bulldog bullpen. He holds a 2-6 record and leads the team with 25 strikeouts. 

The Tigers have lost only three conference games, dropping two games at Alabama State and losing one at Alcorn State. JSU has won two of its three SWAC series this season. The first game of Saturday's double-header is set for 1 p.m. and Sunday's single game has a 2 p.m. start time. General Admission is $5.00.
