Jackson State Falters Against Northwestern State

Jackson, MS--Jackson State fell 5-2 in mid-week action against Northwestern State.  The Lady Demons jumped out in the first inning scoring two runs to command a 2-0 lead over Jackson State.

With neither team scoring through the next three innings, Tayler Nave's homer to left field in the fifth inning cut Northwestern's lead to one run.

In the top of the seventh inning, Northwestern rattled off three runs to hold a four run advantage over JSU.  The Lady Tigers pushed out one run in the bottom of the seventh as Nave scored off a single by Tahlisa Blosser.

Breea Jamerson recorded the loss for the Lady Tigers while Kaylee Guidry picked up the win for Northwestern.

Jackson State will return to action on Friday, March 1st as they participate in the Texas Tech Tournament in Lubbock, Texas.
