Scouting the Blazers
This matchup between Jackson State will serve as the season opener for Belhaven.  Last season, the Blazers posted a 25-24 record. In 2012, Samantha Massoth captured a 1.83 ERA. At the plate, Courtney Fairley recorded a batting average of .340 with 25 runs off 50 hits and 19 RBIs.

Scouting the Lady Tigers

After posting a 2-3 record in the Mardi Gras Invitational this weekend, pitchers Breea Jamerson and Jasmine Warren were named to the All-Tournament team.  The Lady Tigers defeated Lamar and Central Arkansas but fell to Lamar, Ole Miss, and South Alabama in the event.  Jackson State is led by Jasmine Warren with a .406 batting average with six runs 13 hits and five RBIs.  On the mound, Breea Jamerson has an ERA of 4.34 with a 2-5 win loss record.
