BIRMINGHAM, AL - The Jackson State women's golf team opened the 2013 season at the Ann Rhoads Invitational - which is being hosted by Birmingham Southern.
JSU finished the first round of action in seventh place, posting a team score of 361. Stevie Booker finished the first day tied for 15th place - shooting an 82. Stephanie Robertson finished 28th with an 87 and Barbara Wilson shot 93 which landed her tied for 34th place. Amanda White finished tied for 42nd place and Erica Payton had to withdraw from the opening round of play.
Indiana State leads the opening round with a score of 311 and Harding University is second and Methodist came in third place.
The Ann Rhoads Invitational will end Monday, Feb. 18.
