JACKSON, MS - The Jackson State women's basketball team dropped its second straight game, falling 67-58 to Texas Southern at the Lee E. Williams Athletics and Assembly Center Saturday evening.
With the loss JSU falls to an 8-13 overall record and a 5-7 SWAC mark. TXSO improves to 13-9, 10-1.
Two Lady Tigers scored in double-digits. Tiffany Kellum led JSU with 16 points and nine rebounds in 38 minutes of play. Ekwara Ndongo added 11 points and four rebounds. Ayanna Hardy-Fuller scored nine points on 3-4 shooting.
Teera Williams led TXSO with a game-high 22 points. Morgan Simmons added 15 points and 12 rebounds and Kayla West scored 13 points.
JSU trailed 28-22 at halftime.
JSU returns to action Monday, Feb. 11 to host Prairie View A&M at the Lee E. Williams AAC. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
