Nashville, TN - Jackson State fell 7-4 to Belmont Bruins in the 2013 Belmont Spring Kickoff Tournament.

Belmont got on the board first when it scored two runs in the bottom of the third with Vierra and Hollingsworth scoring runs.

In the sixth, the Bruins scored again, recording five runs off three hits and two errors at the expense of the Lady Tigers.

In the bottom of the sixth, Jackson State cranked out three runs as Breea Jamerson's RBI double scored Amanda Vasquez.  Chelsea Smith's RBI double down the right field line brought home Breea Jamerson.  First baseman, Felicia Wilson RBI single gave Raveen Palmer scoring advantage.

Swanson scored an unearned run for the Lady Tigers in the seventh inning off Laura Aiken's single.

Breea Jamerson took the loss, while Belmont's Vierra was awarded the win.

The Lady Tigers will face Valparaiso tomorrow at 9 AM in their second game at 2013 Belmont Spring Kickoff Tournament.
