Jackson, MS-Jackson State captured its first conference win of the season as they defeated Alcorn State, 4-2. The Lady Tigers took a 1-0 lead after the doubles point and won three of six singles matches to secure the victory.

The Lady Tigers picked up the doubles point, with key victories from the duos of Jayalapan/Reddy over Vanem/Kozachuk 8-5 and Martinez/Cordorelli defeating Tipp/Potapora, 8-7.

Jackson State battled hard in the singles portion of the match as Martinez, Jayalapan and Condorelli captured points over their opponents.  The Lady Tigers will return to action on Friday, February 8^th as they travel to Monroe, Louisiana to face the ULM Warhawks.
