The Lady Tigers (6-11, 3-5) will look to extend their winning streak to a season high three-games, the first under head coach Surina Dixon. JSU picked up its second straight win against in-state rival Mississippi Valley State in a 73-68 OT thriller. Tiffany Kellum scored a career high 32 points on 15-20 shooting. She also pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds. Ayanna Hardy-Fuller followed with a 12 point 11-rebound effort. Demara Howard recorded a career high 15 rebounds.

The UAPB Lady Lions (7-11, 5-4) come into Monday's action looking to get back on track after falling 67-62 to Grambling. Cassidy Wright led UAPB with 12 points and four assists. Chigozianyi Okwumbua recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Last season the Lady Tigers swept the Lady Lions - winning 59-51 in Arkansas and 62-45 in Jackson. Kellum led JSU in scoring in both games - scoring 13 and 12 points respectively. Okwumbua scored a game high 19 points in the first game and Lakendra Marsh led with 11 in the second game.

The Tigers (3-14, 2-6) are 5-3 against the Golden Lions (8-12, 7-1) over the last four years. They lost 46-44 the last time they played (2/25/2012).

Jackson State is currently in 8th place in the conference and Arkansas-Pine Bluff is in 2nd.

In their last game, Christian Williams put up 15 points in the Tigers 60-57 win over Mississippi Valley State on January 26th. He is averaging 10.8 points per game while also contributing a team-high 1.9 steals per game. In a 79-67 victory over Grambling State on January 26th, Tevin Hammond put up 20 points and 6 rebounds for the Golden Lions. He is averaging 7.5 points per game in addition to a team-best 3.8 assists per game.

JSU owns a 24-7 series edge over UAPB (since 1980).
