The Jackson State men's basketball team returns to action Thursday, Dec. 13 following the Tigers 120-67 loss to Saint Mary's College on Tuesday. JSU is still in search of its first win of the season.

Washington State comes into the game with a 6-4 record and posted a 66-38 victory over SWAC member Arkansas Pine Bluff earlier this season.

Pac12 teams have a 46-0 record against the SWAC since 1980. Thursday's contest will be the second ever meeting between the two teams. WSU recorded a 15 point victory in the first meeting (12.21.1990). The Cougars scored 95 points and JSU had 80.

JSU is 0-10 against Pac 12 teams.

Scouting the Tigers

The Tigers seem to have found three player who can score in double digits. Senior guard Christian Williams is averaging 14.5 ppg and is shooting a team high 44.2% from 3-pt range. Sophomore guard Kelsey Howard is the second leading team scorer (16 ppg). He is shooting 45% from the field. Newcomer Dundrecous Nelson has played in the last two games and is averaging 19 ppg.

Junior forward Willie Readus averages 5.6 ppg and 5.8 rpg. Junior guard Jeff Stubbs averages 5.6 ppg and 1.4 apg. JSU has played every game on the road this season.

Scouting Washington State

Washington State enters the game with a 6-4 record. The Cougars are coming off a 59-50 victory over Fresno State.

WSU's leading scorer is Brock Motum who averages 19.7 ppg and 6.8 rpg.
