Jackson, Miss- At the conclusion of the Columbia 300 Music Classic, the Jackson State University women’s bowling team placed 23rd out of 29 teams.
The Lady Tigers out-bowled SWAC rival Prairie View and non-conference competition Adelphi, Bethune Cookman, University of Alabama-Birmingham, Louisiana Tech, and Howard.
During the first day of competition, the Lady Tigers were ranked 17th having won three of the six 4-game baker match. On the second day, the Lady Tigers recorded six more losses and fell to the 23rd spot where they stayed for the rest of the competition.
The lead bowler for Jackson State was Dyanna Scott who had a total of 1177 points.
The Lady Tigers’ bowling team will be back in action on Mar. 21 where they will spend three days in Arlington, Tex. competing in the SWAC Championship.
