PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – Four Lady Tigers scored in double-digits, but it was not enough as the Jackson State women’s basketball team fell 92-76 to the Prairie View A&M Lady Panthers Saturday evening in Southwestern Athletic Conference action.
With the loss JSU falls to a 9-13 overall record and 7-5 in the SWAC. PVAM improved to 7-14, 7-4.
Ayanna Hardy-Fuller led JSU in scoring with 17 points on 5-9 shooting from the field. She also went 7-11 from the free throw line. Ekwara Ndongo followed as she came off the bench to score 13 points on 4-8 shooting from the floor. Dominique Brothern added 11 points, four assists and four steals in 37 minutes of play. Kameron Jones chipped in 10 points on 5-10 shooting from the floor. Ke’ra St. John just missed out on a double-double as she pulled down a team high 1o rebounds and scored eight points.
Prairie View’s Jeanette Jackson led all scorers with 28 points.
JSU trailed 56-36 at halftime. The Lady Tigers return to action Monday, Feb. 17 to take on Texas Southern.
