JACKSON- Jackson State University women’s soccer team was defeated 4-0 by University of Southern Mississippi in the Mississippi State Soccer Tournament.

The Lady Tigers had no shots on goal but six shots were attempted. Kylie Christian, the goalie, was able to save six goals throughout the game.

The first goal of the game was scored by Brooke Hendrix at 33:54. It was shot in near post off a corner kick by Danica Roberts. Somer Jones scored the second goal at 43:15 after rebounding a shot by Hendrix. The last two goals of the game was scored by Roberts. The first was at 70:26 and unassisted. It was shot from 25 yards out into the bottom right. The last was just a minute later with an assist from Hendrix. It was a volley from 30 yards away into the bottom right.

The Lady Tigers will play there next game on Sunday, Sept. 15 against Mississippi State University. It will take place at the MSU Soccer Field at 12:30 p.m.
