Women’s Cross Country finishes fifth in opener

CLINTON, Miss. – The Jackson State women’s cross country team opened the season with a fifth place finish at the Mississippi College Season Opener at Choctaw Trails Friday afternoon.

JSU scored xx points to finish fifth out of seven teams. The host school Mississippi College finished fourth with 90 points while Blue Mountain College won the race with 34 points.

Krissle Nicome finished in seventh place to pace the Lady Tigers. Sabrina Welch and D’Andrea Eashmond finished 22nd and 23rd respectively. Tyler Watson came in 35th place, K’Deidra Massey finished 39th, Terisha Juliusss   finished 43rd, Tatiyana Blood came in 45th place and Majaica Brooks finished 50th.

JSU returns to action Sept. 14 to host the Martin Epps Classic at Choctaw Trails in Clinton, Miss.
