Softball falls 3-0 to Warhawks

JACKSON – The Jackson State softball team falls in a mid-week, non-conference game to the Louisiana Monroe Warhawks at the JSU Softball Complex. ULM defeated Jackson State 3-0 Tuesday evening.

With the loss JSU falls to a 23-27 overall record and ULM improves to 18-27. JSU finished the game with six hits and ULM scored its three runs on five hits.

Tahlisa Blosser led JSU, going 2-3 at the plate. Mackenzie Miller led the Warhawks going 2-4 with a RBI.

The Warhawks scored the game’s first run in the first inning and closed the game with a two run seventh inning.

Breea Jamerson (15-10) suffered the loss for JSU. In seven innings of work she allowed three runs on five hits, while striking out a game high six batters. Haylie Wilson (8-14) picked up the win for ULM.

JSU returns to action Friday and Saturday (April 26-27) for a three game series against Alabama State. The games will be played at the JSU SB Complex.
