HAMMOND, La. – The Jackson State baseball team fell 13-1 to the Southeastern Louisiana Lions in non-conference action Tuesday night at PKD at Alumni Field.
With the loss JSU falls to an 18-16 record and SELA improves to 23-11. The Tigers finished with four hits a run and one RBI and the Lions scored 13 runs on 18 hits and had 11 RBI.
The Tigers scored their only run in the second inning when Bryce Taylor was sent home on a Jose Cruz RBI single. Jameson Fisher led the Lions offensively, going 3-5 at the plate with three runs.
Brandon Gregory (4-4) suffered the loss. In four innings of work he allowed seven runs on 11 hits. Gabe Von Rosenberg (1-0) picked up the win. In six innings he allowed four hits.
Jackson State returns to action when the Tigers face Mississippi Valley State Saturday and Sunday for a three game SWAC series in Itta Bena, Miss.
