Baseball falls to UNO

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Jackson State baseball team fell 1-0 to the University of New Orleans Privateers in mid-week, non-conference action at Barrow Stadium.

The game was a defensive battle until the Privateers scored the only run of the game in the seventh inning. Gabriel Babineaux led JSU’s offense, going 2-3 at the plate.

JSU finished the game with four hits and UNO had only six. Aneko Knowles pitched 6.2 innings and allowed the only run of the game. He also recorded a game-high six strikeouts. 

Jackson State returns to action Saturday, April 6 at Braddy Field when the Tigers host Alabama A&M in SWAC action. First pitch is set for 1:00 p.m.
