SB Falls 2-0 to Mississippi State

STARKVILLE, Miss. – The Jackson State softball team fell 2-0 to the Mississippi State Bulldogs Tuesday evening at MSU Softball Stadium.

Felicia Wilson recorded JSU’s only hit of the game. The Lady Tigers limited Mississippi State (22-12) to only five hits.

Breea Jamerson (13-16) suffered the loss for JSU. In six innings of work she gave up two runs on five hits, while recording three strike outs.

MSU scored its first run in the first inning and did not score another until the sixth. JSU (19-22) returns to action Friday, April 5 when the Lady Tigers travel to Lorman, MS to take on Alcorn State in SWAC action. JSU was scheduled to host UL Monroe on Wednesday, April 3 but the game was postponed until April 23 due to expected inclement weather.
